Samajik Parivartan Sansthan (SPS) is a grass root voluntary development organization working for the poor and marginalized communities in Giridih, Bokaro and Dhanbad districts.
To rebuild a clean, beautiful homogenous and classless society in which all can get sufficient opportunities to have employment and dignified living without any differences like sex, religion, caste or creed.
To propagate the programs like community organization, teaching, training, orientation, and motivation, research activities, capacity building exercise and sensitization activities for development of society with focus on weaker section.
Samajik Parivartan Sansthan (SPS) is a grass root voluntary development organization working with the poor and marginalized communities in and around Giridih district. The organization was founded by a group of young social activists who had been involved with different educational initiatives and in social development activities in different parts of Jharkhand & Bihar.
The basic purpose of behind establishment of the organization was to serve the poorest among the poor people in underprivileged area of Jharkhand and to cherish the idea of Sampurn Karanti, introduced by Lok Narayan Jay Prakash Narayan as tool of social transformation. This idea gave rise to the birth of the idea of registering an organization which would look for the holistic development of excluded, vulnerable and marginalized section of society.
• To bring awareness among people about their roles and responsibilities regarding education and other social elements.
• To improve quality in education up to secondary level and bring children in the rural areas under its reach.
• To initiate income generation activities for economic development of women in the rural areas of the district which would give a holistic and inclusive approach to the development agenda of the organization.
• To bring sensitization in the rural areas about the present quality of education and how could it be improved.
• Awareness campaigns to educate people on environment protection, health& hygiene.
Mr. Umesh Tiwari, the founder and secretary of SPS is one of the Master Trainers of the state associated with Janshala and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan for the past 10 years. He has been associated with education activities in Jharkhand since the Bihar Education Project and has worked in various capacities in different education projects with proven track record and good rapport with the local community, education personnel / institutions in Jharkhand.
As a resource person and Master trainer he has been instrumental in introducing Learning Classroom Series under USAID supported program, Water Sanitation, Adolescent Girls issues and currently working for popularization of ELP program under SDTT initiatives.
He has good experience of managing community development projects and organizational management in different capacities. He as a team leader has been helpful in introducing innovations within the organization to make it more effective. Mr. Umesh has good knowledge and understanding of the local issues and has good rapport with the local community while implementing different development projects. He has successfully led the team with proven track record in successful implementation of different projects.
