The district Childline advisory board met in Bokaro with the District Child Protection Unit, SPS and Childline. Childline director Umesh Tiwari presented a progress report, and the district child-protection officer put forward 19 issues concerning the protection of children.
The meeting approved 10 of the issues for action and deferred the remaining items for further discussion at the next meeting. Officials and representatives from child-welfare, labour, local administration and Childline services took part.
